AkronguyJune 18, 2024Basalt is an excellent restaurant! Great food and excellent service. They really know what they’re doing and the food was delicious. The price fix menu was a tremendous deal. I had the Miso Black Cod and it compares favorably to Nobu’s Cod I had in Vegas ( for 1/5th the price). The Black Bao Bun appetizer was simply outstanding. Just absolutely delicious. Overall and very good dining experience with an attentive staff in a very nice low-key Waikiki location. All the outstanding reviews of Basalt are true and we plan to return before we depart for the Mainland. Highly recommended OpenTable DinerJune 17, 2024During my recent trip to Honolulu, I had the pleasure of dining at Basalt Restaurant, located at Dukes Lane Market and Eatery. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the stylish and contemporary atmosphere that perfectly blended with the laid-back Hawaiian vibe. We started our meal with the signature Charcoal Buttermilk Pancakes, and they were a delightful surprise. The pancakes were fluffy and had a subtle, unique flavor that was both unexpected and delicious. Paired with fresh berries and a rich maple syrup, it was a perfect start to our meal. For our main course, we opted for the Lobster Eggs Benedict and the Basalt Burger. The Lobster Eggs Benedict was a luxurious twist on a classic dish, with perfectly poached eggs and succulent lobster on a toasted English muffin, all topped with a velvety hollandaise sauce. It was rich, indulgent, and absolutely delicious. The Basalt Burger was equally impressive, featuring a juicy patty, caramelized onions, and a tangy house-made sauce that elevated the flavors to new heights. The service at Basalt Restaurant was impeccable. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly, making sure our dining experience was flawless. They provided excellent recommendations and ensured that our glasses were never empty. In addition to the outstanding food and service, the restaurant's location within the Dukes Lane Market and Eatery added an extra FoodieJune 17, 2024We went for brunch and had the charcoal pancakes and poached eggs on an English muffin. The pancakes are outstanding and the poached eggs were excellent. Our server was friendly and attentive. For the value, compared to other breakfast and brunch places on Waikiki, this one stands out in value, food quality ambience and service.
